As part of International Experience, BINUS Hotel Management held an event for Binusian and for this time, the event’s title is: Studium Generale with General Manager of Le Meridien Jakarta. On the 26th March 2021 via Zoom, during the tea time,  this event was attended by 350 audiences, both from students and lecturers

It is a huge honor for BINUS Hotel Management, Mr. Vikas Malik as the General Manager of Le Meridien Jakarta would like to spend his time and share his experiences and give us some insights as well. Pak Revan from HRD also accompanied this session. Although the majority of the audiences are from Hotel Management and Business Hotel Management students, this event was also attended students from other departments.

The session with the talk show concept is discussing about what is the duty of General Manager in a 5 star hotel, how is the path, what should be learnt to be on top of the position and what is the challenges to be on the top of the position.

This event was opened by Head of Department of BINUS Hotel Management: Bapak Trias Putranto and as the moderator is Miss Maria Pia.

This event was also supported by Hotel Management student community as the committee and hosted by Erica Virginia (8th semester).

Mr. Vikas shares his experience that to be a General Manager you need to learn all the time because learn is the process and be brave. Also you need to plan your work and work your plan. As the soft skill, Mr. Vikas mentioned, the students need to have integrity, honesty ,and  positive attitude.

Pak Revan also share his success also started from internship and how the prepare the internship.
