On Thursday, April 8, 2021, a guest lecture will be held for the “Front Office Management” course. The topic discussed in this event was “Training and Promotion in the Front Office Department”. The purpose of holding this is so that students know how to develop future careers, provide knowledge to prepare the students for the Enrichment Program, and introduce the promotion process in the front office department. The speaker at this event was Mrs. Intan Melainy A as the representative of Gran Melia Jakarta and has a position there as Assistant Training Manager. In addition, there were also other colleagues from Gran Melia Jakarta,  Ms. Josephine and Mr. Radi Aulia. 

Before starting this event, Mrs. Intan did an ice breaking where she wanted to make the atmosphere more cheerful and uplifting. She asked the students and fellow lecturers to sing the song “If You Happy”. Followed by a surprise, that the most active student will get a reward from her. Starting with Mrs. Intan asked a question about the complete address of Gran Melia Jakarta and the behind meaning of “Stay Safe”. 

Mrs. Intan started the next session by playing 2 videos regarding a brief description of Gran Melia Jakarta. This guest lecture are explaining of the training conducted at their hotel, the qualifications needed by someone if they wanted to get a promotion and also how the process of the job promotion itself.

To close the session, the token of appreciation is awarded for Mrs. Intan Meilany A by giving an e-certificate as a speaker in this guest lecture.

Then, taking group photos session. All of the students, lectures and colleagues from Gran Melia Jakarta are asked to open their camera to take some pictures together. Finally, the announcement of the winner for the most active student in this guest lecture. The winner will get money in the form of a   Go–pay or Ovo balance in the amount of Rp 75.000,00 and the lucky winner for this, is Sadrakh Richardson.
