On 21 May 2025, BINUS University’s Hotel Management Program had the honor of hosting an exclusive Cooking Demo by renowned Korean Chef Soekmin Kang, representing as the head chef of CJ Food Indonesia, in collaboration with Sages International.  This event was Held at the Kitchen Lab Hotel Maangement, this culinary event brought together tradition, innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration in one engaging session.

The focus of the demo was the Indonesian-Korean Fusion Cuisine which giving a creative blend of bold Korean flavors and beloved Indonesian ingredients. Chef Soekmin Kang skillfully demonstrated how to craft simple yet flavorful fusion dishes that highlight the strengths of both culinary traditions. From techniques to plating, every step was a lesson in creativity and cultural appreciation.

A total of 35 culinary students from the BINUS University Hotel Management Program participated actively in the session, gaining not only technical skills but also insights into how global culinary collaborations can open new doors in the food industry. The event also served as an inspiration for students to think globally while honoring their local culinary heritage.
